Empowering Youths Through Academic Excellence

The Susana de Moya Foundation has established an award for Dominican achievement in our community. The purpose of the foundation is to merit academic excellence and inspire Dominican youth by providing a financial award to be used for educational purposes in combination with mentorship. The foundation acknowledges the importance of maintaining cultural heritage and the need to help our families assimilate into life in the United States. Therefore, the Foundation hopes to support these families in the Maryland/Washington DC area by providing encouragement, mentors, and academic and cultural enrichment activities in addition to the financial award for the young Dominican students. The philosophies, of the Scholarship Fund, were inspired by the exemplary life of Susana de Moya.
