Students and their families share in the decision as to how the award funds will be disbursed according to a student's educational need. This would include but not be limited to the purchase of a computer, tuition, tutoring, taking a class, or escrow for college expenses upon graduation from high school. Any portion of the award that has not been used within one year of the date awarded, will revert to the Foundation.

In addition to the award, this prize may also include mentoring opportunities as decided by the Education Committee. If available, a mentor may provide academic support and guidance to both the student and the family for the next school year. The mentor may serve as a resource and liaison for the family.
