3D Printing for Elementary and Middle School Students
July 26 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
In this lesson, students will learn how to prepare their CAD design for printing, and use our 3-D printer to create their object.
At least one TinkerCAD 3D drawing lesson is a prerequisite for 3-D printing. During a TinkerCAD lesson, or on their own, a student can create a CAD design for an object they would like to print (restrictions apply).
Due to the nature of 3-D printing, students will be required to follow directions, and demonstrate patience and listening skills. This lesson requires approximately middle school levels of reading and math comprehension.
After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more, continue designing, or to put this topic into use.
After online registration closes, please contact SDM for space availability.
This topic can also be taught at any time in individual sessions either in the shop or remotely. Please call for more information.
Cancellation must be at least 48 hours before the lesson begins to avoid further appointment restrictions.
