CAD Design and 3D Printing – In Shop Lesson

April 19 @ 1:30 pm 3:30 pm

In this 2 hour lesson, students will first learn how to create a CAD design. The CAD design is done in TinkerCAD, a free online 3D modeling program. Afterwards, the basics of using a 3-D printer will be taught and the students’ designs will be printed. This lesson requires approximately a middle school level of reading and math comprehension.
Due to the nature of 3-D printing, students will be required to follow directions, demonstrate patience and listening skills.

After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more, continue designing, or to put this topic into use.

After online registration closes, please contact SDM for space availability.

This topic can also be taught at any time in individual sessions either in the shop or remotely. Please call for more information.

Cancellation must be at least 48 hours before the lesson begins to avoid further appointment restrictions.
