Scratch Programming Introduction for Elementary and Middle School Students
August 16 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Scratch is a visual block based programming language, with a focus on fun coding. Topics will include motion, costumes, backgrounds, sound, sensing and events.
No prior experience is required for Introductory lessons, but Scratch requires reading and math comprehension at approximately the upper elementary level.
Groups will be small, allowing for individual instruction, but students will be responsible for directing the work and programming. SDM staff will teach the use of blocks and help students work through the ideas that they want to implement.
After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more or put this topic into use.
After online registration closes, please contact SDM for space availability.
This topic can also be taught at any time in individual sessions either in the shop or remotely. Please call for more information.
Cancellation must be at least 48 hours before the lesson begins to avoid further appointment restrictions.
