Scratch Programming Introduction – In Shop Lesson
April 20 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
For motivated kids from about 4th – 8th grade, we will offer two separate one hour time slots to learn the basics of Scratch, a visual block based programming language. No prior experience is required. Scratch requires reading and math comprehension of topics like x:y coordinates, angles and cause:effect, as well as an interest in coding and coding concepts. Scratch Jr, which does not require reading, may also be demonstrated. Successful students interested in continuing with Scratch, can sign up for the Scratch Programming Continuing lesson or individual lessons.
After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more or put this topic into use.
After online registration closes, please contact SDM for space availability.
This topic can also be taught at any time in individual sessions either in the shop or remotely. Please call for more information.
Cancellation must be at least 48 hours before the lesson begins to avoid further appointment restrictions.
