3d modeling with tinkercad – upper elementary/middle school
July 28 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Students will learn how to create a CAD design suitable for 3D printing. Programming of the CAD design is done in TinkerCAD. This lesson requires approximately middle school levels of reading and math comprehension.
Design of a keychain with the student’s name or initials is the initial project. To create a more complex drawing, most children will require more than one TinkerCAD lesson, individual appointments or work from home. The process of taking a TinkerCAD design to a 3D printer will be discussed, but printing is not part of this lesson. If the student completes a 3D design (restrictions apply), then it may be printed on our 3D printer at another time. Please call for further information about this.
After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more, continue building, or to put this topic into use.
After online registration closes, please contact SDM for space availability.
Cancellation must be at least 48 hours before the lesson begins to avoid further appointment restrictions.
