Scratch is a block based programming language designed by MIT for teaching children how to code.

Scratch Jr. is a separate program and curriculum from regular Scratch block coding. All of the code is image-based and simplified to allow for younger participants.

Scratch Jr. is appropriate for early elementary aged students and does not require reading. Understanding of logical concepts, ordering and relating objects to each other is required.
